This Next Step was born when I saw an ad to register a domain name for 99 cents.  I had been thinking about what I wanted to do once I became officially eligible to retire early from my current job, and the name thisnextstep came to mind.

The site is about the journey as I transition, hopefully, to a different life path.  At somewhere over 50 years of age, I am not ready to call it quits and go gracefully into retirement with plans for assisted living and long term care.  Instead, I would like to revisit the “me” I was at 16 and see what I might be able to do now to correct the course that I unwittingly ended up on.  Here’s hoping this next step leads to living the years ahead to the fullest!
