This afternoon I stood watching while a new student got off the campus shuttle. He was blind and was attempting to navigate the side walk. The thing is that the bus does not always stop at exactly the same spot and the sidewalk forks so the student had to figure out which fork he was on. After traveling 20 or so feet he determined that, of course, he was on the wrong path and so he backtracked, found the other path, and went on his way.
Lesson learned.
