If we were chatting at the cafe today I would be saying WooHoo! and telling you about making it to Day 10 of Writing 101. It has been a bit of a challenge to make time to write but its been fun. I’m learning to get that text out and, well mostly, not over think what I’m writing. That is a good thing.
If we were chatting at the cafe I would be sharing that I submitted a poem for consideration to a publication my local arts center is putting together. I don’t know if it will be accepted but it was one of those freeing face-your-fears moment. I also donated 2 small paintings to a local fund raiser. Pretty big hurdles cleared in making the art public.
If we were chatting at the cafe I’d be suggesting that we go for a walk both to see the cool art events going on in town and to just do the walking. I would share with you that after a 3 year hiatus, I am acknowledging that walking needs to become part of my life again.
If we were chatting at the cafe I’d tell you that this post feels very similar to one of those Holiday Letters people send. All shiny and good newsy and designed to showcase a wonderfully perfect existence. Then I’d tell you about the unfinished canvases that are kicking my wannabe artistic butt.
